Data Protection Policy


Our compliance with the Data Protection Act (1998) ensures:

1.         All data on our servers are protected by up-to-date firewalls

2.         Data are encrypted on our servers, with access restricted to project managers and supervisors

3.         Hard copy data are locked in fireproof cabinets when not in use with access restricted to project managers and supervisors

4.         Amendments to respondent data (e.g. no longer wish to be contacted for research, died) are fed back immediately

5.         Once a project is completed, data are either destroyed or returned to the client; any copies (electronic or hard copies) are destroyed one month following the project completion. Destroying client data is carried out to the standard of ISO 9000 and ISO14001

Field Initiatives abides by the Market Research Society Code of Conduct (www.mrs.org.uk). All interviewers and recruiters are monitored in accordance with the company's Quality Control Policies to ensure all data collection is valid and accurate
